Meet Dr. Lindsay Maples
Compassionate Pediatric Dentistry Rooted in Expertise, Experience & Heart
Dr. Lindsay Maples is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the lead doctor at Ponte Vedra Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Nocatee. She provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents, with a steady, child-centered approach that’s especially supportive for anxious patients and families navigating early dental milestones for the first time. She’s also a mom of three, which shapes how she communicates with parents—practical, clear, and grounded in real life.
Dr. Maples’ passion for pediatric dentistry began early, shaped by her father’s compassion and strengthened during a formative mission trip to Honduras. That experience made the impact of high-quality dental care very real: it can change a child’s health, confidence, and overall well-being—not just their teeth.
Her story is also closely tied to dentistry as a profession and a family legacy. Her father, who passed away in 2020, served as the Dean of the LSU School of Dentistry from 2008–2020, and his example of leadership, education, and service continues to influence her work today.

Proud of Her Roots, Dedicated to Families
Dr. Maples is proud of her Cajun-Florida roots, her family’s deep legacy in dentistry, and the chance to raise her children right here in the community she loves. She and her husband, Dr. Andrew Maples, are both dentists— Ponte Vedra Premier Dental and Maples Dental—and together they share a strong commitment to caring for families both in and out of the office.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her with Andrew and their three kids, soaking up family time, cheering on the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars, and staying involved in local schools, events, and charitable programs that support children and the wider Ponte Vedra community.

A Pediatric Dentist With Advanced Training & a Heart for Children
Dr. Maples believes pediatric dentistry works best when parents understand not just what’s recommended, but why it matters for their child. Her approach is prevention-first and timing-aware—focused on practical habits families can actually maintain, and decisions that support healthy development over time. She also knows that children cooperate best when they feel safe. Dr. Maples keeps visits calm and predictable, uses age-appropriate language, and builds trust step by step—especially for first visits, anxious kids, and children who need a slower, more supportive start.
Parents often appreciate her ability to clearly distinguish between:
-
What needs attention now
-
What should be monitored as a child grows
-
What is simply part of normal development
This clarity helps families make confident decisions without feeling rushed or pressured.
Her approach is especially good for:
-
Behavior guidance & anxiety management — calm pacing, trust-building techniques
-
Child growth and development — early monitoring, well-timed intervention
-
Sedation options & hospital dentistry — safety-first planning, complex cases
-
Special healthcare needs — individualized accommodations, parent partnership

Community-minded leadership
“Being part of the Ponte Vedra community means showing up where kids learn, play, and grow. I’ve always believed that pediatric dentistry isn’t just about caring for teeth—it’s about investing in the whole child and supporting the people who shape their world. From classroom visits to cheering on local teams to partnering with our schools, these moments allow me to connect with families in a way that goes far beyond an appointment.
Now, raising my own three children here, I feel a deep responsibility to give back to the community that gives so much to us. Caring for children goes far beyond the dental chair, and I’m grateful every day for the chance to be part of their journey. Serving families who value connection, compassion, and giving children every opportunity to thrive is truly one of the greatest privileges of my career.”
